Could you walk or cycle for Rosemere Cancer Foundation this September, and help raise funds to support world-class cancer care across Lancashire?
On Saturday September 4th, we are celebrating the return of our annual Walk in the Dark following last year’s restrictions. The 11-mile night-time walk from Chorley to Royal Preston Hospital is always a fantastic event, with our walkers lighting up the night and raising thousands to help us continue to support life-changing projects including crucial research, training to help our staff be the best they can be, welfare projects to help ensure a patient’s cancer journey is as stress-free as possible, and top-of-the-range clinical equipment, for the benefit of cancer patients across the region. It’s £15 to enter, with refreshments and a medal for all walkers – just visit www.rosemere.org.uk/walk-in-the-dark-2021 to find out more!
Or if cycling is more your thing, why not join this year’s Ribble Valley Ride on Sunday September 5th? Organised jointly by the Rotary Clubs of Clitheroe and Accrington, the 7th annual Ride will feature two routes to choose from – a 25 miler through the glorious Ribble Valley, and a 60 mile ‘Expert’ route which heads into the scenic heart of Bowland, with entries priced at £15 and £22 respectively. It’s a great fundraising event, with all surplus proceeds, plus sponsorship, coming to Rosemere – they have fantastic food stops too!
